Eunice Adhiambo Pande is a Programs and Research Coordinator at MIDRIFT HURINET. She specializes in research on violence against children, gender-based violence, and youth involvement in peace and security. Her work integrates data-driven interventions, policy analysis, and advocacy, and spans multi-sectoral collaboration and coordination at both national and global levels. She works closely with stakeholders to strengthen child protection systems both online and offline with the goal of enhancing the wellbeing of children.
Phil Attwood
Director of Impact, Child Rescue Coalition
Phil is a former police officer and senior detective with expertise in covert policing, safeguarding and tackling high-harm online offenders. He led national undercover online capabilities, drove innovation on threats like AI, strengthened global partnerships and improved child protection outcomes. Now Director of Impact at the Child Rescue Coalition, he develops child-safety technology and international training.

Jack Cagney is a PhD student at Emory University and a researcher at the Institute for Health Metrics. His research examines the prevalence, health effects, and burden of gender-based violence and violence against children.
Carolina Coll
Postdoctoral Fellow, International Centre for Equity in Health and Human Development and Violence Research Centre
Carolina is a researcher with training in epidemiology and strong interest in investigating health inequalities as well as understanding the determinants of violence within families. She has been working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at both the International Center for Equity in Health and the Human Development and Violence Research Centre at the University of Pelotas in Brazil.
Prerna Deep
Legal Academic | Advocate
Prerna is a licensed advocate in India and a legal academic. A British Council GREAT Scholar, she holds an LLM from the University of Edinburgh, as well as an LLB (Campus Law Centre) and a BA in English Honours (Miranda House) from the University of Delhi. She has clerked for Justice Aniruddha Bose at the Supreme Court of India and has worked as an Academic Fellow and Associate Coordinator at the Centre for Criminology and Victimology, National Law University Delhi.

Sandra is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of the Philippines Manila National Institutes of Health, undertaking research on child abuse and neglect. She is also a Child Protection Specialist at the Philippine General Hospital Child Protection Unit.
Romancia Jordon
Detective Corporal, Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force
Romancia Jordon, Detective Corporal #599, serves in the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force and is assigned to the Sexual Offences Unit, investigating sexual crimes against children and adults. She conducts lectures on sexual offences and domestic violence and collaborates with stakeholders to strengthen protection systems and support vulnerable individuals. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Criminal Justice from Ashworth College in Georgia, USA as well as a Diploma in Forensic Science with Honors and multiple University of West Indies certificates.
Dr Mark Kavenagh
Director, Evident
Mark is the Director of Evident, a small Bangkok-based social research company. Since establishing Evident in 2022, he has led numerous projects for clients regarding young people’s online safety, vulnerabilities facing LGBTQ+ people, and the challenges facing boys and men grappling with new forms of masculinity. Mark has a doctoral degree in Psychology and has worked in child protection in Southeast Asia and the Pacific for 18 years. Mark has authored papers in peer-reviewed journals focusing on child sexual abuse and trafficking, with a particular emphasis on boys and LGBTQ+ individuals. He was one of the principal investigators for the 13-country Disrupting Harm study in his previous role with ECPAT International.

Jesse Leon is an award-winning author, keynote lecturer, and executive coach whose work focuses on leadership, resilience, and institutional trust. He is the author of I’m Not Broken and No Estoy Roto (Penguin Random House) and leads the We’re Not Broken™ framework, supporting philanthropy to identify and respond to male survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and abuse.

Stavroula is a psychologist with dedicated frontline and supervisory experience at the The Smile of the Child, a leading NGO in child protection in Greece. There she serves as Helpline Supervisor and Coordinator of their National Centre for Abuse and Exploitation. She holds a Master of Science in Mental Health and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr Edgardo Toro Quezada
Head of the School of Social Work, Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso
Associate Professor Edgardo Toro Quezada is a poet and social worker, and Head of the School of Social Work at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso. His research focuses on social policy, ethics, violence and child sexual abuse and exploitation. He coordinates research forums and serves as Associate Editor of Child Abuse Review.
Patricia Bordier
Child Protection Officer, UNICEF Mexico
Patricia Bordier has over 15 years of experience collaborating with United Nations agencies and supporting civil society organizations in the field of human rights in Mexico, Colombia and Dominican Republic. She currently serves as Child Protection Officer at UNICEF Mexico. She is a specialist in violence prevention and in child protection against sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA).
Patricia holds a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Democracy, cum laude graduate in International Relations, and is certified as a Gender Professional by the George Washington University.

Sabrina Page is a PhD candidate at the University of Edinburgh, researching psychological harm in victims of online child sexual exploitation. With experience at UNICEF Innocenti, multiple London boroughs, and global research institutions, she specialises in gender-based violence, public health, and child protection.
Sabrina is also the founder of GVR-CN, a platform advancing gender-based violence research, as well as a Global Data Fellow at Childlight. Skilled in research, policy analysis, and advocacy, she is committed to driving impactful change.
Cyndie Demeocq
PhD Candidate, University of Edinburgh
Part of the UKRI AI CDT program in Responsible and Trustworthy NLP at the University of Edinburgh, Cyndie has a background in data science and machine learning with a specific focus on natural language processing (NLP) and multimodal machine learning (MML). She is especially interested in data-driven methods and solutions. She spent several years working for technology and regulatory organisations in France, Sweden, the USA and the UK. Her main interests lie in approaching technology to address illegal activities online and prevention solutions for child safety. Her research focuses on approaching the potential opportunities and emerging risks of generative AI models such as large language models (LLMs) and multimodal large language models (MLLMs) for illegal harms, especially those toward children, their applications for law enforcement practitioners, and the development of preventive technological frameworks for industry.
Rimin Johnson
PhD Candidate, University of Edinburgh
Rimin Johnson is a PhD researcher at the University of Edinburgh researching the socio-cultural and structural factors that contribute to the secondary victimisation of child sexual abuse survivors. Focusing on Kerala, India, her research examines how family dynamics, gender norms, and institutional responses across legal, medical, and social welfare systems shape protection pathways for survivors. Her background is in law and criminology, with experience in criminal law. Through her work, Rimin aims to build an evidence base that informs more effective child protection systems and policy responses, with broader implications for global efforts to address child sexual abuse.

PhD Candidate, University of Edinburgh
Patience Mulungi is a PhD researcher in Education at the University of Edinburgh and a children’s rights advocate committed to strengthening child protection systems globally. Her research examines how age disparities in East African schools contribute to child sexual exploitation, with a comparative focus on Uganda and Kenya. Combining mixed-methods research with policy analysis, she works at the intersection of data, governance, and safeguarding reform. Drawing on both academic expertise and lived commitment, Patience is passionate about transforming evidence into accountable policies that protect vulnerable children and drive systemic change.
